The added power comes from the thermo-formed construction which situates carbon fiber around the edges of the paddle, under the Rib Edge Guard, resulting in more consistent response across the entire face. The surface that is wrapped around the edge is the now-famous 3D 18K Carbon Fiber hitting surface. This 10.7″ long by 7.5″ wide hitting surface not only adds power by returning energy to the ball, but adds control by compressing the ball and allowing you to spin it comfortably in any direction. The added reach comes via the 5.7″ long handle (up from 5.3″ with the original Edge 18K) wrapped in a Comfort Max grip.
